We are aware of the tragic situation of continuing violence around the world. As we each find our own way through the complex maze of inner feelings, this is to be known that we are not alone in our struggles or in our hopes, each and every person is hopeful. The tragedy and suffering that occurred to so many people now and throughout the history, they have also been passionate in their insightful voices calling for peace and healing.
For the friends and families of those who have given their lives for the sake of world peace represent moments of agony that can never be omitted. For those who are deployed from society due to their race, caste or occupation has given them reason to fear the same kind of violence, they are under constant threat are still faithful to God. The prayers for peace gives them the enthusiasm to tackle with the threats and survive them.
It is not possible to establish peace in the world without the “merciful Providence of God, who knows how to touch even the most hardened of hearts and bring good fruits even from what seems utterly barren soil”. Peace can only be secured as a gift of forgiveness, of redemption and of the new creation which include love, joy, self-control, kindness, gentleness, it is a fruit of the spirit.
This hope must inspire our prayer for world peace. Prayer must be continually practised, so that it may grant and safeguard our wish for a world full of peace and unity. The arm of prayer strengthens our mission to reverse the situation of injustice which is prevailing from long ago, and work together to build a happy world.
